What Our Clients Are Saying

As the Fall programs start up again, I want to take this opportunity to thank CareGiverCare, you, and Father Madigan for these programs. My husband and I first learned of the programs from the St. Thomas More bulletin, and have been participants and fans ever since. There are a wide variety of classes, and our favorites are the Chair yoga, and the Italian movie and discussion. We started participating while these were held at the Parish House, and enjoyed them very much.

Since I started following your suggestion to have a walk with dad every day, he got back to talking more! I’m amazed! Our one-on-one monthly coaching sessions have been extremely helpful to become specific in taking care of dad as well as making the time and the commitment to take of myself.

Yesterday’s program was amazing! As a child, my parents often played classical music. Music was always present or in the background every day. The performance by the incredibly talented artists was very special. Thank you for introducing them. I’m telling everyone about their performance - live from Italy. Please echo my sentiments to them for me. They are so talented and gracious.

I always appreciate John Taglia’s passion for the cinema. His in-depth knowledge of the subject is amazing. Although I don’t have access to the film, when I do, I will have a greater appreciation for the film. John is always so generous with his time and his technical ability is outstanding.

The program made my day while I observe distancing recommendations from CDC. Knowing how technical it is to put a program together makes me more grateful that you do what you do. The delivery was flawless!

I joined your zoom around noon today, lovely concert, thank you.
Very sad that soon after Antonella spoke I lost the connection
(My fault, I have to get a new router)

I’m in Antonella’s Italian class and I would like to thank Caregivers, you and Antonella for the wonderful lessons. I spoke a little Italian when I was a child in Argentina (I’m 82 now) so it was a long time ago. But, o miracolo , it’s all coming back !

Very happy to say I had a telephone conversation yesterday with an Italian friend In Italian !!!

Un altra volta molto grazie

That was such a well put together program. Missed not being able to attend all events. Do you think we should write hand-written thank you notes to the Diva and Maestro? Hope another virtual performance will be possible as you suggested.

Thank you for organizing such a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. It was very enjoyable. I had guests in the afternoon — some neighbors from my building — so I only attended the early sessions. All were great. Fr. Madigans Blessing was terrific. Now you can rest for awhile.

As one of Caregivercare’s participants, I learned how crucially important it is to keep one's brain continuously engaged and one's body well exercised and in harmony with its surroundings. Caregivercare’s dedicated and gifted teachers introduced me to various ways to practice and achieve these goals, resulting in a healthier me.

I chose to participate in many programs offered at Caregivercare.  One choice included “Learning  New Things” – in this case, a language – Italian. Because Italy has been the birthplace of such world recognised individuals as Dante, Galileo, Giotto, DaVinci, Michelangelo, Columbus (whose vision changed Earth's history), Puccini, Verdi and where Italy had more recently birthed world leaders in the automotive, fashion, architecture, science, film, wine, food/cuisine, etc, industries, I chose to learn to speak Italian.

I found the Italian language reflective of its people - musical, mysterious and innovative with its various grammatical exceptions and language subtleties. It is a warm, lyrical and sensual language as the tongue, throat and mouth orchestrate together to produce a lively melody of soothe sounding words. It is a language that invites you to fully and freely express your passions, invites your hands, eyes, body to become a part of its communicative composition. It is a language you can have fun with and is a pleasure to speak. The language of Italy is inspirational….another wonderful invention of its people.

The spirit of Caregivercare runs throughout its programs.  That spirit is nurturing, accepting, peace giving and singularly targeted to improve the wellbeing of those participating in its array of challenging programs. In such turbulent times, it is comforting knowing such a learning center exists.
