People with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia living at home are at risk of adverse health events: from falls (with possiblefractures) to wandering outside the house and getting lost,
from burns to cut wounds, from poisoning to choking.
If caretakers and family members
learn how to manage these risks at home, they will prevent patients’ adverse events.
